Finding Deleted Photos on iPhone
Your iPhone actually has a built-in safety net for recently deleted photos! Here's how to recover them:
Check the "Recently Deleted" Album: This is the first place to look. Open the Photos app, go to the "Albums" tab, and scroll down to find the "Recently Deleted" album. Photos stay here for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
iCloud Backup: If the photos are not in the "Recently Deleted" album, and you had iCloud Backup enabled, you might be able to restore your entire iPhone from a previous backup. Be warned: This will overwrite your current iPhone data with the data from the backup date.
iTunes/Finder Backup (Computer): If you backed up your iPhone to your computer using iTunes (or Finder in newer macOS versions), you can restore your iPhone from that backup. This, like iCloud Backup, will overwrite your current iPhone data.
Third-Party Data Recovery Software: Several third-party data recovery programs claim to recover permanently deleted data from iPhones. These programs scan your device's storage for remnants of deleted files. Success is not guaranteed, and these programs can be expensive. Research the software carefully before using it, and be aware of potential privacy risks.
Consider Cloud Services (Google Photos, Dropbox, etc.): If you used a cloud service like Google Photos or Dropbox to back up your photos, check those services for your deleted photos. These apps usually have their own trash or archive features.
